One step in GitHub. One line on your workstation.
The GitHub App reviews every pull request and posts one verdict as a check. The CLI reviews every commit on your workstation, and is free to run on any repository. Install either first.
1. Install the GitHub App
Install the Cerebe Factory GitHub App on a repository or an organisation. Your next pull request gets a verdict as soon as it is opened or updated, and so does every one after it.
2. Install the CLI
In a checkout of your repository, one line installs the Cerebe CLI and configures
that checkout. It writes the git hooks, a cerebe/ directory, a
cerebe.yaml and Cerebe's section in your agent instruction files
(AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md), all of which you can commit, so the
whole team runs the same review.
curl -fsSL https://cerebe.ai/install.sh | sh
Needs curl and git. macOS and Linux run the binaries; see the
install guide.
3. Local review is opt-in
Installing does not switch on a workstation critic. Add one with
cerebe model add when you want review on your workstation; until then
no critic runs and the hosted check does the reviewing. The
docs list the critics you can add.
4. Make the check required
Until you require the check, every pull request gets a verdict and nothing blocks. When you are
ready to gate merge, on a paid plan, add cerebe/critic to the
repository's required status checks. From then on a pull request merges only on an approving verdict, and
the check fails closed: no verdict, no merge.
Then watch the first verdict land.
The dashboard shows each pull request's verdict and the findings behind it, across every repository the App reviews.
